The City of Raleigh Raleigh Portal Pulse will allow staff to share ideas and new portal enhancements and gather public feedback about the City of Raleigh Web Portal. The City hopes to use this open dialogue to grow and extend the web portal’s functionality and usability. The blog will be monitored during City working hours.

Web Usability Group
On November 17th, the Web Usability Group met for the first time to discuss the City's Web Portal. The group is comprised of citizens and City staff. The goal is to utilize the input and opinions from the group to help improve the City's Web Portal. At the first meeting, the group identified three key areas for usability testing:

One of the topics we covered was PR stories did not have relevant information. For example, the date is missing and only a reference to a day of the week.

The story needs to include "December 3rd 2010" when talking about the Friday Christmas treet lighting
